To offer residents open spaces, and to provide children a safe playing environment, the Ramallah Municipality has developed a number of public parks and neighborhood gardens. These spaces are regularly maintained whereby each year, the municipality carries out improvements such as adding new playground equipment, benches, and repairing any damaged facilities. Additionally, trees and shrubs are planted, pruned, and irrigated, while sanitary facilities, gates, protective fences, and shade structures are also installed.
