The Ramallah Municipality was established in 1908 with the formation of its first municipal council. Over the years, 24 individuals have served as council heads, with Engineer Mousa Hadid currently presiding over a 15-member council. Through its successive leaderships, the municipality has played a pivotal role in elevating Ramallah's standing. The municipal building houses one of the most advanced Public Service Centers in Palestine, alongside the municipal theater and archives.
